The Talent Book ("we," "our," or "us") operates a social media and live streaming mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.
2. Information We Collect
We follow the principle of data minimization — we only collect information that is essential for the app to work:
Account Information (required to use the app):
- Email address — for login and account recovery
- Password — stored securely using industry-standard encryption (bcrypt)
- Display name — shown to other users
Profile Information (you choose what to share):
- Profile picture and cover photo
- Bio, work, city, country, date of birth, marital status
- You can update or remove this information at any time
Content You Create:
- Posts, photos, videos, reels, and stories you upload
- Comments and reactions on posts
- Messages sent through the chat feature
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do NOT track your location
- We do NOT access your phone contacts
- We do NOT monitor your browsing activity
- We do NOT use advertising trackers or analytics
- We do NOT sell or share your data with third parties
4. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used solely to provide the app's features:
- To create and manage your account
- To display your profile and content to other users
- To enable messaging, live streaming, and social features
- To send you notifications about activity relevant to you (friend requests, messages, etc.)
5. How We Store Your Data
- Account data is stored in a secure database with encrypted passwords
- Media files (photos, videos) are stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) cloud storage
- Messages are stored in our database and are only accessible to the sender and recipient
- All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — for secure media file storage
- Agora — for voice and video call functionality (no call recordings are stored)
- Expo / EAS — for app delivery and updates
We do NOT use any advertising networks or data brokers.
7. Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Access: You can view all your data within the app
- Edit: You can update your profile and content at any time
- Delete: You can delete individual posts, messages, or your entire account
- Export: You may request a copy of your data by contacting us
To delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings in the app or contact us at the email below.
8. Data Retention
We keep your data only as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:
- Your profile, posts, and media are permanently deleted
- Your messages are removed
- Deletion is completed within 30 days
9. Children's Privacy
The Talent Book is not intended for users under 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 17. If we discover that an underage user has created an account, we will immediately delete it.
10. Security
We take the security of your data seriously:
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt encryption
- All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Media files are stored on enterprise-grade AWS infrastructure
- We regularly review our security practices
11. International Users (GDPR Compliance)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under GDPR:
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to data portability
- Right to object to processing
Our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (by creating an account) and the necessity to provide our services.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal data we collect about you
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Opt out of the sale of your personal data (we do NOT sell your data)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
